I am a mother of two beautiful boys, one differently abled. Unaware of the complicated education system I set out for a better education for my son in the special education relm. The further I navigated the quicker I realized that there was a huge disconnect between the information and communication of parents and schools. My goal is for a transparent partnership when it comes to our most valued treasures and I am determined to help the parents/caregivers of San Antonio change the systems in place to get the best opportunities for their children. Parents are the sleeping giants the education system is missing. Once they know their power and passion nothing can stop them from a grand vision.

Operations Manager

I am a proud mother of Dylan, who was diagnosed with autism at age 4. My journey into advocacy began when I saw the challenges many families face in securing the support their children deserve. Unlike others, I was fortunate to have the full backing of my son’s school, but I know this is not the reality for everyone. I am deeply passionate about ensuring that every child, whether neurotypical or differently-abled, has access to the resources and accommodations they need to thrive. Through my work at MindShiftED, I am committed to empowering parents to understand their rights and advocate for their children. No parent should have to fight this battle alone, and together, we can create a system where every child’s needs are met without hesitation.

Organizer / Facilitator

I am mother to Isela my daily inspiration to grow and learn. I was always active in my daughters school. I began my journey of education advocacy in 2019 when I realized that the meetings I attended had significant lack of language access. I began identifying other areas about my child’s education journey I became part of the 1st Academy of Powerful Parents in 2020. I am now an Organizer/Facilitator with MindShiftED, and I build relationships with the community.
